Day 1: Discipline is your bff
The theme for today is: What is your ALL IN commitment level?"
Why do things like this work?
Because you put your energy behind a system or structure you believe in, and you feel like you are 'doing the right things' that you need to do to get what you want.
So yes, sugar is not good for us, it physically has chemical side effects within our cells and body. But I'm guessing that you also don't want to to LIVE SUGAR FREE, nor do you need to.
This isn't about being perfect or not eating anything but vegetables to change your body.
This is about a fresh start. A reboot, something you can do when you don't feel good, when you feel sluggish or bloated or like UGHHH all the desserts have been too much.
And the work then is to use this time to CLEAR the body systems and to CLEAR your mind about what you want, and how you feel when you really use food as nourishment and focus on real things.
I think we all know the basics. That processed foods are not a match to a healthy body, that high fat, high sugar, even low fat, low cal are not the answers. The answer is to eat real food, mostly plants.
AND
Today I want you to commit to your full 10 days of Breaking Up with Sugar in a way that feels like a little stretch for you.
So did you read the guide?
If you have questions, post them below NOW so I can support you.
The other reason this works is that it's clear cut. There is yes/no answer to is this sugar? or does this contain sugar?
Brussel sprouts? No sugar
Broccoli? No sugar
Crackers? Sugar
Chips? Sugar
Bread? Sugar
Bananas? No sugar
Squash? No sugar
Leafy greens? yes eat a lot of these!
So the decisions are already made FOR YOU which means you don't have to struggle or deal with decision fatigue.
It's lunch time....I'm hungry....I feel like a salad would be healthy, BUT I also want this leftover blueberry muffin from Christmas. Well it's just a muffin, and then they'll be gone. OR so and so says she eats sandwiches everyday, so I can too, or Judy says carbs are good.
PS CARBS ARE GOOD. They are so so good and necessary.
Do NOT associate carbs with sugar.
Sugar is an additive. Sugar is a CHEMICAL. Carbs are natural and what your body RUNS OFF OF.
You simply need to eat the real foods for 10 days and let your body do the work.
It's EASY when you just know what to do right?
HOMEWORK DAY 1:
Are you ALL IN?
Obviously this is a free challenge (for now) so your commitment is just you and your word.
When people pay for things, they are more invested.
Even then, it's not up to me to make you eat or not eat anything.
This is FOR you and your health.
I want all of you who are signed up to comment below if you are all in for the full 10 days of the challenge and that you understand the plan and program. So if it's 9pm tomorrow night and you FEEL like eating chocolate or ice cream, it's simple. You don't because you committed to yourself that you wouldn't.
And your commitment to yourself and to your word is everything. It's how you build trust and believe you can do and have what you want.
Come in here ANYTIME you feel tempted or are struggling or just share your story with food and sugar right now.
Use the #BUWS (break up with sugar) so we can all find these posts.
Answer these questions in a post to share:
>>Are you ALL IN?
>>What do you want to feel in your body that you don't feel now?
>>What's your biggest sugary food struggle? LMK so i can help with alternatives
>>Why is now the time to feel better/act differently?
Here's your video to watch and dig deeper into all of this, so watch, and grab a journal and dig into what this brings up for you!
